Families can cut travel costs this school holiday as children aged five to 15 travel free on First Bus services across England throughout August 2026.

Part of the Government's Great British Summer Savings initiative, eligible kids get unlimited free journeys with no advance registration required - just hop on board.

This nationwide scheme delivers huge savings on days out to top attractions across the network:

• - Leicester: Route 54 runs frequently from Haymarket Bus Station straight to the National Space Centre

• - Essex: Route X30 connects Chelmsford and Rayleigh to Southend-on-Sea beaches, Adventure Island, and Southend Pier
