How to check blood pressure at home and what's normal?
What is a normal blood pressure reading?
- Normal blood pressure: between 90/60 mmHg and 120/80 mmHg.
- High-normal blood pressure: between 120/80 mmHg and 140/90 mmHg - this suggests that you may be at risk of high blood pressure.
- High blood pressure: over 140/90 mmHg.
It’s always best to get checked by a medical professional but if you want (or need) to keep a close eye on it when you’re at home, there are monitors for sale. (Contains affiliate links)
